Oud Coffee & Cafe Wicker Park offers a distinctly Middle Eastern-inspired coffee experience right in the heart of Chicago’s vibrant Wicker Park neighborhood. This cafe stands out for its specialty drinks that creatively blend traditional Palestinian flavors with modern coffee culture. Fans of unique, spiced lattes will find themselves drawn to the oud latte—a signature offering infused with aromatic spices, though some might find elements like fresh mint leaves a bit unexpected. Beyond that, the karak tea and mint café options provide a rich palette for those looking to step outside their usual coffee routine.

The atmosphere at Oud Coffee & Cafe is lively and bustling, filled with a sense of community pride and cultural expression. Its interior includes multiple seating options suitable for lingering with a laptop or catching up with friends, making it a flexible spot for both work and socializing. Because it’s located in a busy part of Wicker Park, the cafe tends to attract locals who appreciate specialty coffee but also the cultural storytelling behind each drink, told often by welcoming staff who are ready to share the origins of flavors and menu items.

Pastries here are another highlight, showcasing Middle Eastern sweets alongside more familiar baked goods. The baklava tray and knafeh roll add authentic touches, while items like the creamy tiramisu brownie or pistachio lazy cake offer something for pastry lovers seeking a fusion feel. Prices on some pastries run on the higher side, reflecting the artisanal approach and ingredient quality.

Visitors looking for a casual morning or afternoon pick-me-up will find this cafe suits well for a midweek break or weekend recharge. The space tends to buzz more during peak hours, so those seeking a quieter moment may prefer early daytime visits. While traditional drip coffee might not be the main draw, the cold brew and specialty espresso drinks receive consistent praise for smoothness and distinctive flavor profiles.

Overall, Oud Coffee & Cafe Wicker Park fits a niche for curious coffee drinkers and fans of Middle Eastern flavors who appreciate a strong connection between culture and café craft. It offers more than just a caffeine hit—it provides a tasting experience rooted in heritage, with enough variety to encourage repeat visits from those who enjoy exploring coffee beyond the usual offerings.

Unique pastries and drink offerings at this middle eastern styled coffee shop. The pastries and specialty drinks we got were great! Definitely want to come back and get some Turkish coffee at some point down the line. Only knock would be that the drip coffee wasn't that great, it wasn't bad but it felt a bit flat. If you're in the neighborhood this spot is definitely worth giving a try.

I have been here 3 times this week, I love how close this coffee shop is to me! Their menu is extensive and atmosphere is bustling with proud culture and community. I've had their karak tea, mint cafe, and oud latte. The oud latte is a satisfying blend of flavor and might be my favorite next to the karak. The display case of pastries makes your mouth water as you wait in line. On their opening day I decided to sample the date cake and pistachio lazy cake. While delicious, I was taken back by how expensive a single slice was ($10.29 each). Ordering a small latte, and those two cake slices, I ended up paying $34. I wouldn't question buying the cakes again if the portions were even $6 a slice. Overall, I know I'll be returning for the atmosphere, coffee, and karak tea. Best of luck to Ouds newest Wicker Park location!

Beautiful place and a large menu. The place has a lot of seating options and would be nice to hang out or work. Tried their oud latte, the coffee itself was good and has nice spices but also had mint leafs in it which I didn’t enjoy, it just doesn’t go well with the drink.

I visited the original location in river north earlier this week and found it the new location is open! The Oud Latte is beautiful and might be my favourite latte in the city. Staff were super friendly and walked me through the menu and it's meaning in Palestinian culture. The baklava are a work of art and very affordable. I'll definitely be back, and often!

Tried Oud Cafe and really enjoyed it! The oud latte was unique — definitely different, but in a good way. If you’re looking to try something outside the usual coffee flavors, this is a must-try. The cold brew was excellent too, smooth and very flavorful. Great spot if you’re into exploring new coffee experiences.

Oud Coffee & Cafe has a really nice Middle Eastern vibe — cozy atmosphere, great design, and a relaxing spot to hang out or get some work done. I loved their Chicken Panini and their lattes — both were delicious and perfectly made. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the Dubai Chocolate Cake; it was too juicy for my taste. Overall, it’s a great cafe with good food and a unique vibe. I’ll definitely be back for the coffee and panini!
